County approves design and lighting change orders for Premier Sports Complex; grant to cover majority of lights cost

Vickers also presented Change Order No. 1 with Harper & Company Builders to add Musco Lights at the Premier Sports Complex soccer field, which the county said is the City of Douglas’ preferred lighting. That change order is $85,452.00 and brings the project contract total to $4,179,747.00. Vickers told the board the majority of the lighting costs will come from a grant and the remaining cost will be paid from SPLOST VII. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the Harper change order.
