Commissioner Sheila Pounds moved to authorize the chairman to sign the FLOST IGA; Commissioner Asher Gray seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Steven Ledford then moved to adopt Resolution #2025.08.22C "for the purpose of implementing a County Floating Local Option Sales and Use Tax and requesting the Election Superintendent to call an election of the voters of Jasper County to approve the imposition of the sales and use tax and approving the form of ballot to be used in the election as presented." Commissioner Sheila Pounds seconded the motion, which also passed unanimously.
