Irwin County pauses voter guide printing, continues street‑list audit

Staff also described a full audit of street names and address ranges to ensure voters receive the correct ballots. Public Safety provided a 911 address list for that purpose; minor edits (directional appendices and correct street types) were made where needed. Elections staff reported that one voter had been incorrectly placed in the wrong county commission district earlier in April due to a misnamed street and clerical error; the voter has been moved to the correct precinct combo.
Supervisor Ethan Compton said the street‑list review is ongoing and coordinated with Hall County’s GIS expert and the South Georgia Regional Commission’s GIS liaison to independently validate precinct assignments. The board said it will transmit a street list to the City Clerk before the November municipal election to obtain approval and reduce the risk of voters receiving incorrect ballots.
