At 8:30 a.m. Maintenance Supervisor Joseph Panza and Greg Neugebauer opened and read 14 bids submitted for the fairgrounds roofing and gutter project. Bidders were given the option to include sheeting as a separate add‑on line item; the minutes record bid totals and add‑on amounts. The lowest bid recorded in the minutes was from Rain Tite Roofing at $138,915.84; several other bids ranged substantially higher, including Complete Concrete, Inc. at $487,100 and Fuller Construction at $394,800.
After reviewing bid submissions the commission tabled the award for further review earlier in the meeting and later voted to postpone awarding the contract until the Aug. 20, 2025 commission meeting to allow for additional review. Motions to table and subsequently postpone were recorded as unanimous.
The minutes note that upon "further review of bid documents, actual numbers may vary from the following," indicating county staff will verify bids and bonding information prior to award.
