The board appointed Jeff Christie to the position of chief deputy with an annual salary of $71,940 effective July 1, 2024. The motion to approve the appointment was offered by Commissioner Kevin Joffer and seconded by Commissioner Dailey and is recorded as carried.
The board also approved a wage increase for Sheriff Prouty to an annual salary of $90,005.04 effective July 1, 2024 (motion by Joffer, second by Dailey). In a separate motion, commissioners authorized purchase of a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe for $49,999 for the sheriff's office (motion by Dailey, second by Kimmel).
