Gladwin leaders discuss charter review; attorney says revisions must go to voters

Attorney Michael Gildner, participating by phone, said "the revision is to be a vote to the people," offered to participate in the process and recommended changing committee membership to a council committee rather than an open advisory panel. Winarski and Gutierrez said they are interested in serving on the review committee.
Council did not set final membership or a start date at the meeting; members emphasized that any revision would require voter approval and that the committee rules — including a 9-to-11 person membership restriction that excludes current committee members — should be clarified before work begins.
