The board also voted, on a motion by Mrs. Ward seconded by Mrs. Tanis, to add Jane Ward to Board Goal Committee A (the DEI committee). A subsequent motion to approve the amended 2024–25 Board Goal Committee roster passed 6–0.
These items were presented as action items and carried without recorded dissension. The meeting minutes list the votes as “Yeas: 6 Nays: 0” for each motion. The board also tabled selection of MASB delegates until the Sept. 23 meeting by unanimous vote.
