Union County approves state agreements to rebuild CR 15 stub and seek flood reimbursement

Separately, the board approved a Joint Powers Force Account Agreement with SD DOT to reimburse the county for damage to the Federal Aid Highway System resulting from the 2024 flood. The detailed damage inspection reports are incorporated into that agreement; the estimated cost to repair the identified damage is about $780,000.
Both motions carried. The agreements require coordination with the state and adherence to the deadlines and reporting specified in the contracts.
