District says software conversion progressing, bus garage near completion and cybersecurity audit underway

The Organizational Effectiveness Committee reported progress on multiple administrative fronts at the Nov. 24 meeting.
Committee chair Jairad Hallo said Human Resources staff continue entering and verifying employee records and that a conversion to new financial software (work with Schools Open) is underway. The district plans to launch an employee Years of Service Recognition Program in 2026–27. On operations, Hallo said the food-service truck will need a new lift gate rather than full replacement; the bus fleet is currently serviceable though market prices may drive future replacement; construction of the new bus garage is expected to be completed this month with subsequent installation of cameras, door controls and HVAC.
On technology, the district reported network switch upgrades are in progress, VM host replacements and pricing are being evaluated, and Ms. Groters, Mr. Hallo and Mr. Davis are conducting an internal audit to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and gaps.
No formal board action was taken; these reports were presented as part of the committee's goal updates.
