The Lake County Board of Commissioners approved several consent and administrative items at its July 2, 2025 meeting in Christmas Valley, including a commercial lease with RNG, LLC; a correction to a memorandum of sale date for a property transaction; and ratification of an Oregon Department of Agriculture grant for pest abatement.
Facilities and Properties Manager David Berman presented a commercial lease allowing RNG, LLC to store heavy equipment at the county industrial park; RNG had been occupying the space after acquiring Red Rock Biofuels and had not been under contract for about a year. Commissioner James Williams moved to accept the lease; Vice‑Chair Barry Shullanberger seconded. Chair Mark Albertson voted no; Vice‑Chair Shullanberger and Commissioner Williams voted yes, and the motion carried.
Commissioners Assistant Tina Burneikis requested a correction to the memorandum of sale for a parcel purchased by Mr. Marque because amended contract dates were incorrect; Commissioner Williams moved to approve the amendment to correct the dates and the board voted unanimously to do so. Burneikis also presented an Oregon Department of Agriculture Grasshopper and Mormon Cricket General Fund Allocation Grant (#GHMC-5-2025) for $90,000; the board ratified the signing by unanimous vote.
Finally, the board approved the June 17 and June 18 meeting minutes. No contested appeals or litigation items were decided during the session.
