Facilities manager asks commissioners to formalize RNG, LLC lease after ~16 months of unpaid rent

David Berman, Lake County’s Facilities and Properties Manager, told the Board of Commissioners on July 1 that RNG, LLC has been using storage at the county industrial park for heavy equipment since its purchase of Red Rock Biofuels and had not been under contract for about a year. Berman said the company "had not" been paying the lease and was behind by about 16 months; he asked that a contract be put in place before the county pressures RNG to come current on payments.
Berman could not state an exact arrears figure during the work session. Commissioners did not take action at the work session; Berman said the matter would go to the Regular Session for formal consideration.
