Following an executive session under ORS 192.660(2)(i) to evaluate employee performance, the Lake County Board of Commissioners returned to Regular Session and approved two personnel actions for Administrative Assistant Tina Burneikis.
Commissioner James Williams moved to approve a lateral pay adjustment for Burneikis "as presented," and Vice-Chair Barry Shullanberger seconded; the Board recorded 3 Ayes and the motion carried. Williams then moved to approve an anniversary raise for Burneikis from Step 2 to Step 3 effective November 2025, contingent on a balanced budget and satisfactory job performance; Shullanberger seconded and the motion carried 3–0.
The executive session was held under the Oregon public-meetings statute cited in the minutes, ORS 192.660(2)(i), which allows private evaluation of the employment-related performance of a public officer or employee who does not request an open hearing.
Why it matters: The Board took formal personnel action in Regular Session, recording unanimous support for both pay adjustments. The anniversary increase is contingent on budget conditions and job performance.
The minutes record the motions, second, and 3–0 vote for both actions.
