Lake County hearing considers repeal of sheriff's fee ordinance so fees can be set by resolution

Eversole said the change would allow the fees to be adjusted without the two public hearings required to amend an ordinance.
Commissioner Barry Shullanberger clarified that none of the listed sheriff's fees were locally set; Eversole confirmed the fees were determined by the state. The hearing record shows the board did not take a vote on the repeal at this session.
