Livonia board approves prior minutes, declines to relocate speed sign; town spraying set for July 18

The Town of Livonia board unanimously approved the minutes from its previous meeting and signed claims at a regular meeting on July 17, 2025. President Mike Whitfield called the meeting to order; Ronnie Hall moved to approve the minutes and Troy Farmer seconded the motion, which the board approved without objection.
During the public-attendance portion of the meeting, resident Aaron Dennis asked that one of the newly installed speed signs be moved to a different location so it could be more visible. The board said the sign placement had been determined by the Seymour District and would remain where it is; the board nevertheless said it would ask the Seymour District to review moving the sign so it can “be seen better.”
Under new business, the board recorded two operational items: Skeeter Beater is scheduled to spray the town again on July 18, 2025, and a drainage ditch is being cleaned out by Lonnie Pruett. The meeting minutes state those items as announcements; no additional formal actions or votes on them were recorded.
There was no old business. With no further business before the board, President Mike Whitfield adjourned the meeting. Clerk Treasurer Hansley Farmer attested to the minutes.
