Erie County Commissioners re-elect Shenigo as president, name Old vice president for 2025

Erie County Commissioners held their annual organizational election Jan. 13, naming Mr. Shenigo as President and Mr. Old as Vice-President for 2025.
Clerk of the Board Erin Paolano called for nominations. Commissioner Old nominated Mr. Shenigo for President; with no other nominations, the commissioners voted unanimously in favor (Old: Aye; Shoffner: Aye; Shenigo: Aye). Mr. Shenigo then nominated Mr. Old for Vice-President; again there were no other nominations and the Board approved the motion by the same unanimous vote.
The organizational votes were procedural and took place during the regular session; no other contested leadership motions were recorded.
