The Erie County Commissioners on March 5 adopted a slate of resolutions and authorized administrative actions covering contracts, insurance, grants, budget adjustments and personnel moves.
On motions by Mr. Shoffner, seconded by Mr. Old (roll call: all aye), the board approved:
- Contract Addendum #2 with Corso’s Flower and Garden Center, extending the contract through Nov. 15, 2025 (#25-53). - A stop-loss insurance agreement with Medical Mutual of Ohio effective Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2025 (#25-54). - Execution of a Then and Now payment certification pursuant to O.R.C. 5705.41(2) (#25-55). - Agreements to provide Title IV-D child support enforcement legal services and related security and clerical support with the Erie County Prosecutor, Erie County Sheriff, and Erie County Common Pleas Court – Juvenile Division (#25-56, #25-57, #25-58). - Declarations of surplus property for internet auction (#25-59) and items to be discarded or salvaged (#25-60). - Authorization for the County Administrator to apply for up to $1,250,000 in Program Year 2025 Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program funds and to procure Great Lakes Community Action Partnership to prepare and administer the program (#25-61). - Payments for services and supplies to named vendors (#25-62). - Interfund transfers and supplemental appropriations and budget modifications across multiple funds including General Operating, Planning, Soil & Water, ADAMHS, various grants and election funds (#25-63, #25-64) and supplemental appropriations for the Solid Waste District and Water District funds (#25-65).
The board also approved equipment purchases, pay estimates to American Structurepoint for Mason Road Bridge Mi-212, travel authorizations, a range of personnel action forms and requests to recruit for multiple county positions. The meeting record shows each listed motion passed on unanimous roll-call votes by the commissioners in attendance.
The board recessed into executive session under O.R.C. 121.22(G)(3) to confer with legal counsel on pending litigation before reconvening and adjourning at 11:05 a.m.
