Commissioners approve package of resolutions, personnel actions and a proposed 0.75-mill senior levy renewal

Erie County Commissioners on June 4 adopted a slate of resolutions and administrative approvals on motions primarily made by Commissioner Shoffner and seconded by Commissioner Old, with unanimous roll-call votes.
Key actions included entering a lease for property at 221 W. Parish Street for 2024–2026 (#25-144); authorizing supplemental appropriations across several county funds (#25-146); approving interfund transfers related to the Erie County Sewer Fund and Bay View Sewer Rev Bond Payment Fund (#25-147); declaring a 2014 GMC Sierra surplus and donating it to the Erie Soil & Water Conservation District (#25-148); and declaring various items surplus for disposal or internet auction (#25-149, #25-150).
The Board also authorized submission of the RECLAIM/Ohio Youth Services Subsidy Grant application (#25-151); executed a Then and Now payment authorization pursuant to O.R.C. 5705.41(d)(1) (#25-152); approved an addendum to the Master Subscription Agreement with Wescom Solutions, Inc. to purchase the Practitioner Engagement program for The Meadows at Osborn Park (#25-153); and declared it necessary to levy a renewal of 0.75 mill for senior citizens services as authorized by Ohio Revised Code Sections 307.694, 307.85 and 5705.19(Y), to be submitted to voters on Nov. 4, 2025 (#25-154).
The Board also approved a range of personnel action forms across departments and recorded no objection to two liquor-license applications. Several reports and letters were received into the record, including ditch maintenance reports submitted under O.R.C. 6137.03, 6137.06 and 6137.07 and a Transportation of Prisoners Report from Sheriff Sigsworth under O.R.C. 325.07.
All motions were carried by roll call with "All Aye" recorded in the minutes.
