County Administrator Hank Solowiej told the Erie County Commissioners on June 16 that Erie and Ottawa Counties had jointly appointed Gerald Guerra to the Erie‑Ottawa International Airport Authority, and that Erie County would reappoint the remainder of its representatives so the board would be fully staffed.
On a series of motions by Mr. Shoffner, seconded by Mr. Old, the Board confirmed the following actions by roll call (All Aye): the appointment of Rob Quinn to a three‑year term expiring June 12, 2028; the reappointment of Jonathan Merckens to a three‑year term expiring June 12, 2028; and the reappointments of Tim King and David Foster to three‑year terms expiring December 31, 2028.
Each motion was recorded as passing on roll call during the June 16 session. The County Administrator framed the actions as completing Erie County’s representation on the joint Erie‑Ottawa Airport Authority; no debate on the nominees was recorded in the transcript.
The Board took the appointments as part of regular business and then continued to other agenda items.
