Erie County Commissioners adopted a set of consent resolutions and administrative approvals during their June 18 meeting, and canceled multiple July commission meeting dates.
By motion of Mr. Shoffner and second of Mr. Old, the board canceled a series of July meetings (dates listed in the minutes) and adopted resolutions including declaring certain county equipment surplus for sale by internet auction (Resolution #25-166), authorizing supplemental appropriations and budget modifications (Resolution #25-167), and entering into a roofing contract with West Roofing Systems, Inc. for The Meadows at Osborn Park Phase I project (Resolution #25-168).
The board also approved a side agreement memorializing responsibilities related to Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission Permit No. 2025-9 with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc. (Resolution #25-169), authorized Then and Now certifications under O.R.C. 5705.41(d)(1) to make certain payments (Resolution #25-170), and approved appropriations under Ohio Revised Code Sec. 307.66 for Memorial Day expenses (Resolution #25-171). Other approvals recorded in the minutes included revised auditor certificates for Common Pleas Court ($45,000) and Vestige GPS ($3,500), Pay Estimate No. 2 to The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. ($100.31) for the Campbell Street resurfacing project, a canceled new hire for The Meadows at Osborn Park, recruitment authorization for a lead mechanic in Vehicle Maintenance, and separation pay for Sheriff’s employee Jeffery Kashian who is retiring June 30, 2025. The meeting recessed and later reconvened; the board adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
