Board considers easement to allow Perkins Township storm water line across Erie County Fairgrounds

County Administrator Hank Solowiej told the Erie County Commissioners that an easement agreement with the Perkins Township Trustees has been prepared for the board’s consideration. Under the proposed agreement, Perkins Township would receive the right to install, maintain, operate, repair, remove and replace a storm water line through a portion of property at the Erie County Fairgrounds owned by Erie County.
The easement was presented to the Board as an item for consideration; the transcript records the county administrator’s explanation but does not record a formal vote on the easement itself during the Feb. 18 session. Commissioners were informed of the scope of the authorization contained in the draft agreement but did not record additional terms or conditions in the minutes provided.
If adopted, the easement would allow Perkins Township to manage a storm water infrastructure installation through the fairgrounds parcel. The county indicated the agreement had been prepared and placed before the Board for future action or formal approval at a subsequent step.
