Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 2025‑23, a Year‑End Certification of the County Highway Superintendent. They also approved Resolution 2025‑24 to transfer funds from the Inheritance Tax Fund into the Fair Fund and the E‑911 Fund, and Resolution 2025‑25 to transfer budgeted funds from the Road Fund to the Champion Wauneta Road Project Bond Fund, as provided in the County Budget Document. Each motion passed on a 3–0 vote.
Commissioner Kurt Bernhardt moved to approve Resolution 2025‑24; Commissioner Jacci Brown seconded. Bernhardt also moved to table the Prairie Dog Nuisance Control agenda item earlier in the meeting; that motion to table was approved by the board. Commissioner Brown moved to approve Resolution 2025‑25 and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Chase County and the Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs for Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028; those motions were seconded and passed unanimously.
The minutes state that complete copies of each approved resolution are on file in the office of the County Clerk. The board did not discuss specific dollar amounts for the transfers in public minutes beyond referencing that the transfers follow the County Budget Document.
