Commissioners approve sheriff equipment purchase and software payments; OK county-wide interpreter contract

On June 23 the Llano County Commissioners Court approved several procurement and contract items. The Court authorized the Llano Sheriff’s Department to purchase ballistic helmets and breaching tools in an amount not to exceed $26,000, contingent on availability of FY2024/2025 SB-22 funds; the motion was made by Commissioner Jerry Don Moss and seconded by Commissioner Brent Richards and passed unanimously.
The Court also approved paying Deckard Technologies $6,814.93 to cover hotel occupancy tax software services from June 20 through Sept. 30, 2025, to align the vendor’s billing with the county’s fiscal year; Commissioner Linda Raschke moved and Commissioner Moss seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Separately, the Court approved county-wide use of the Texas Department of Information Resources contract for interpreter services (LanguageLine Solutions), to be paid from Professional Services; Commissioner Raschke moved, Commissioner Richards seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The record ties the sheriff purchase to SB-22 fund availability and specifies the Deckard payment is to align invoicing with the county fiscal year. The open-session minutes do not include vendor contract terms, procurement bid details, or SB-22 fund balance.
