Madison County Board approves emergency COVID appropriations and multiple county purchases including Glock firearms for sheriff

Separately, the board approved procurement and contract awards across county departments. The Facilities Department’s recommended award for Administration Building/Courthouse landscaping to The Garden Kingdom (Glen Carbon) was approved for a not‑to‑exceed $67,606.89. The Madison County Special Service Area #1 approved an emergency purchase from Evoqua Water Technologies for a replacement screw pump shaft at Lift Station #4 for $159,500 due to emergency repair needs; that purchase was approved by the board.
