Parmer County approves minutes, accounts payable, payroll, AVENU contract and a water line under County Road 22

Commissioner Kirk Frye moved to approve the minutes of the June 24, 2024 regular meeting; Commissioner Kenny White seconded and the motion passed by majority vote. Approval of minutes from a June 13 special meeting was tabled because the required quorum was not present. County Treasurer Sharon May presented the accounts payable list for May 20, 2024; Commissioner Casey Russell moved and Commissioner Kenny White seconded approval and the motion carried. Judge Isabel Izzy Carrasco moved to approve the Treasurer's payroll report for May 15, 2024; Commissioner Frye seconded and the motion passed by majority.
Commissioner Casey Russell moved to approve installation of an 8-inch water line under County Road 22 approximately one-half mile south of Highway 86; Commissioner Kirk Frye seconded and the motion passed by majority vote. Judge Carrasco moved to approve a one-year AVENU contract for the County Clerk's office; Commissioner Russell seconded and the motion passed by majority vote. Attachments for the contracts and financial reports were referenced in the record.
These actions constituted the Court's routine business for the session and included several approvals that will be implemented by county staff; the special-meeting minutes remain tabled pending inclusion when a quorum is present.
