Commissioner Charles Wilkins moved to approve the storage building purchase using ARPA funds; Commissioner Kenny White seconded and the motion passed by a majority vote. Commissioner Kirk Frye moved to approve purchasing the courtroom equipment and hiring an electrician to perform necessary wiring, Commissioner Wilkins seconded, and that motion also passed by majority vote.
The purchases were presented as operational improvements: county staff will use the storage building for yard equipment currently kept in other locations, and the courtroom upgrade is intended to reduce crowding in the judge’s office by allowing remote participants to join proceedings from the courtroom.
