Greenville council adopts consent agenda; sets two public hearings and makes appointment

The Greenville City Council unanimously adopted the consent agenda at its March 7 meeting. Councilperson Moss moved approval and Councilperson Lehman seconded the motion.
Consent items included approval of the minutes from the Feb. 21 regular meeting; payroll for the period ending Feb. 18, 2023 in the amount of $142,994.06; accounts payable for the period ending Feb. 27, 2023 in the amount of $272,630.06; and the February financial report. The council also received information on training opportunities and approved setting public hearings for March 21, 2023 on a proposed amendment to Chapter 42, Article III (Stopping, Standing and Parking) to revise certain overnight parking restrictions and on an application from AIG Taurus, LLC for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption.
Mayor Scoby's appointment of Susan Hoppough to the Historic District Commission for a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2025, was included and approved in the consent agenda. The council did not request separate discussion for any consent items.
