Greenville council approves consent agenda, event permit and street‑sweeping contract

The consent agenda included approval of minutes, a payroll report for the period ending March 4, 2023 totaling $138,153.55, and an accounts payable report for the period ending March 16, 2023 totaling $131,382.34.
Separately, council approved the Rotary Club’s request for relief from the no-parking ordinance and permission to park a food truck on Franklin Street for the Rhythm on the River concert series. Conditions attached to the permit require the truck to face the sidewalk, have cones placed in a half‑moon shape to keep customers off the street, display caution signage provided to Public Services, supply updated liability insurance, sign a hold‑harmless agreement, and display a city parking permit. Councilperson Lehman moved the approval; Councilperson Linton seconded; the motion was adopted unanimously.
The council also awarded a three-year contract for Spring street sweeping to SCA of MI, LLC of Oak Park, Michigan. The contract was approved with a price not to exceed $12,102.40 for each year of the three‑year term. Councilperson Lehman moved the award; Councilperson Barrus seconded; the motion was adopted unanimously.
