The Greenville City Council on April 11 unanimously approved an acknowledgement of contract assignment and consent to assign contracts from Davis Construction, Inc. to RK Davis, Inc. for Phase 2 of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Renovation/Expansion project. Councilperson Lehman moved the approval; Councilperson Moss seconded, and the motion was adopted without objection.
The motion authorized the City Manager to sign the documents presented to the council. The agenda item was described by the council as related to the second phase of the plant expansion/renovation; no dollar figures, schedule changes or additional contract terms were presented in the record at this meeting.
The action resolves the local step of consenting to a contractual reassignment between private contractors working on the city’s wastewater project and clears the way for RK Davis, Inc. to assume the contract responsibilities identified in the motion. Council did not discuss amendments or requests for further public disclosures about the assignment during the session.
The council convened at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 8:19 p.m. The City Manager was authorized to execute the assignment documents as presented.
