Greenville council approves finance director appointment, multiple contracts and accepts $465,400 trail grant

At its July 18, 2023 regular meeting, the Greenville City Council unanimously approved the City Manager’s appointment of Jodi Holbrook as the city’s Finance Director/Treasurer, awarded multiple contracts for city services and facilities, accepted a $465,400 state grant for the Fred Meijer Trail Hub and approved a utility easement for Consumers Energy.

The council approved the consent agenda and routine financial items before moving to new business. The consent agenda included minutes from June 20, 2023, payroll reports for pay periods ending June 24 ($157,604.24) and July 8 ($200,757.14), and an accounts payable report for the period ending July 6 ($951,065.55). Councilperson Moss moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilperson Lehman seconded. The motion was adopted unanimously.

On personnel, Councilperson Lehman moved — and Councilperson Cunliffe seconded — to provide consent to the City Manager’s appointment of Jodi Holbrook as Finance Director/Treasurer. The council approved the appointment unanimously.
