Charles Ingle and John Roberts, representing the Red Bank & Soddy‑Daisy Charitable Foundation, presented Mayor Everett with a $24,000 check on March 16 to fund repairs to the fishing pier at Soddy Lake and to contribute any leftover funds toward a batting cage at the Kids Club.
Ingle said the foundation was formed years ago by Sam Swope and Arnold Stulce Sr. after the sale of the Red Bank Community Hospital and has donated more than $250,000 to the city for projects including Fire Hall construction, Poe's Tavern and fire‑training equipment. Mayor Everett thanked the foundation for the gift.
The board made no formal conditions on the donation at the meeting; the mayor accepted the check and the city will proceed with repairs and youth facility improvements using the foundation funds alongside any applicable city procurement rules.
