President Terry Hughes called the special meeting of the Board of Education, School District of the City of Harper Woods, to order at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2025. A quorum was present: Board members Johnetta Tabron, Reginald Tabron, Stacey White, Diana Nimmons and Frankie Brooks; Ramona Dunn‑Simmons was absent.
Board member Johnetta Tabron moved to accept the meeting agenda "as printed," and Board member Diana Nimmons supported the motion. The board approved the agenda on a 6-0 vote.
Board member Stacey White moved, supported by Board member Johnetta Tabron, that the board move to closed session "regarding legal matters." The board voted 6-0 to enter the closed session. The minutes record no public comments on action items.
After the closed session the board reconvened to open session. Board member Frankie Brooks moved, and Secretary Stacey White supported, to reconvene to open session at 7:02 p.m.; the motion passed 6-0. President Hughes adjourned the meeting at 7:04 p.m. The minutes were signed and submitted by Secretary Stacey White.
