Suffolk County Legislature approves $2.5 million bond for Ballpark improvements

Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffrey called for the roll call and the clerk recorded an 18-0 vote in favor of the bond measure. Legislators who spoke during the motion emphasized continued investment in county recreational facilities and the importance of maintaining the ballpark as a community asset.
The bond resolution will finance capital work identified under project CP 6425.316. The Legislature approved the bond authorization as part of a wider slate of capital appropriations and votes taken at the meeting.
The approval followed earlier capital and grant votes on the agenda and came alongside other county capital actions approved during the session.
