D.P.O. FLOTTERON made the motion to close the hearing and Legislator Thorne seconded it. The Clerk recorded nine votes in favor and the motion passed, formally closing the hearing. The body recessed and planned to reconvene at 1:00 p.m.
Legislator Englebright led the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the proceedings and a moment of silence followed. Clerk Guy Calla conducted the roll call; responses recorded indicated nine legislators present. Staff noted there were no members of the public in attendance who wished to comment.
No substantive discussion of budget line items, public testimony, amendments, or votes on budget measures took place during the hearing. The public hearing record shows the event lasted approximately one minute from call to adjournment. The Legislature indicated it would meet again at 1:00 p.m.
