Commissioners approve FACT participation in Trillium RNG rebate program; county to avoid Ohio-court jurisdiction clause

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Commissioners on Jan. 13 voted to place on the agenda and approve a motion allowing Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation (FACT) to participate in Trillium Transportation Fuels' Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Rebate Program, provided the agreement is altered to remove the requirement that disputes be governed in Ohio courts.
Rudy Dutko, FACT's executive director, presented the item and the board approved language to allow Dutko to sign and execute necessary documents if the objectionable Ohio-jurisdiction clause is removed. Commissioner Henry Kaufman asked about expected fuel savings; Dutko said, "There will be approximately $1,200 a month in rebates." The motion passed unanimously.
