UNIONTOWN, Pa. — The Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved modifications to its FY2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program on Jan. 13 to provide funding for homeowner rehabilitation in Georges Township and accepted an updated Citizen Participation Plan.
Andrew French of the Fayette County Redevelopment Authority presented the request, saying the Redevelopment Authority had followed required citizen-participation procedures and recommended reallocating funds to homeowner rehabilitation. The resolution included in the meeting packet (labeled "RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF FAYETTE COUNTY APPROVING MODIFICATIONS OF THE FY2025 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR FAYETTE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA OBO GEORGES TOWNSHIP") shows the revised program and budget line items and directs the Redevelopment Authority to submit required documentation to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
The resolution was placed on the agenda by motion of Commissioner Henry Kaufman, seconded by Commissioner Vince Vicites, and passed unanimously. Commissioners recorded approval votes for the revised line items and the updated Citizen Participation Plan.
