Snowflake council accepts FY24 audit, auditors report 'clean' opinion

Jennifer Frank of the accounting firm Hinton Burdick joined the meeting by phone to present the audit and the expenditure limit report. Frank said there is an "unmodified/clean opinion with no reportable findings." Councilmember Byron Lewis asked whether there were any red flags beyond the town golf course; Frank said there were not and described positive trends in town finances.
The council voted on a motion by Councilmember Byron Lewis, seconded by Councilmember Greg Brimhall, to approve the FY24 audit and expenditure limit report as presented. The motion passed unanimously with Cory Johnson and Travis Kay absent.
The approval accepts the auditors' findings into the town record; no follow-up items or corrective actions were noted in the presentation.
