Franklin County approves bookkeeper hire and authorizes MainePERS Plan 3C for Teamster dispatchers

The board also authorized the chair to sign an amended agreement with MainePERS (the Maine Public Employees Retirement System) adopting Special Plan 3C for eligible, full-time Teamsters dispatchers, effective Jan. 1, 2026. That authorization passed unanimously (5-0).
Why it matters: Adopting Plan 3C changes the retirement plan for eligible county Teamsters dispatchers; the amendment requires signatures for the change to take effect. The Administrator's Report acceptance and the hiring complete routine personnel and administrative business for the county.
