Bradford County approves new hires, promotions and multiple county contracts

The Bradford County Commissioners on Jan. 22, 2026 unanimously approved multiple personnel hires and transfers and authorized a series of county contracts and agreements.
A motion by Commissioner Doug McLinko, seconded by Commissioner Zachary R. Gates and approved by all commissioners present, authorized the following personnel actions: Amanda Vanderpool, part-time corrections officer (effective Jan. 12, 2026); Thane Buckley-Camacho, part-time corrections officer (effective Jan. 12, 2026); Ashlee Stryker, part-time corrections officer (effective Jan. 12, 2026); Albert Bodolus, part-time corrections officer (effective Jan. 12, 2026); Roger Hart, change from part-time to full-time corrections officer (effective Jan. 25, 2026); Steven Burlingame, Deputy Sheriff (effective Jan. 20, 2026); and Austyn Merrill, part-time casual Dispatcher III (effective Jan. 21, 2026).
During the meeting the board also approved a generator maintenance agreement with AMP Global Strategies for $24,732.50 (effective Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026); participation with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) for a Federal fiscal year 2021 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program matter; an agreement with Henry Dunn, Inc. and Dunn Financial for employee-benefits coordination at $32,000 for 2026; the Administrative Entity Operating Agreement between the Bradford/Sullivan County Intellectual Disabilities/Autism Program and the Department of Human Services, effective Jan. 1, 2026; a PennDOT reimbursement agreement related to Bridge #25 (terms not specified in the minutes); and a cleaning-services agreement with McGee and Family, LLC for airport facilities at $85.00 bi-weekly (effective Jan. 22, 2026–Jan. 21, 2027).
The board also appointed Sara Michaels to the Children and Youth Advisory Board for a three-year term effective Dec. 1, 2025, through Nov. 30, 2028. The minutes record that the motions to approve the hires, contracts and the appointment were moved and seconded (moves and seconds are recorded in the minutes) and were approved with "aye" votes from the commissioners present; the minutes do not record dissenting votes or a roll-call tally beyond the notation that all voted "aye."
