South Lincoln Hospital District, county to renegotiate services agreement after billing issues

South Lincoln Hospital District officials told the county Aug. 2 that billing challenges under the existing Services Agreement for employee memberships require renegotiation; the district will present a revised agreement to the commission on Aug. 23.
Officials from the South Lincoln Hospital District told the Lincoln County commissioners on Aug. 2 that billing problems and other challenges under the current Services Agreement for employees’ memberships need correction and renegotiation.
Dave Ryerse, CEO of the district, and Kris Gordon, finance controller, described billing issues with the existing arrangement and said they will work with county staff to prepare a new Services Agreement to present at the Aug. 23 commission meeting. Ryerse also noted he hosts a weekly Community Listen Hour open to residents.
Separately, insurance representatives Dennis McCormack and Gwen King reviewed the county’s health insurance renewal and presented findings from an audit of claims submitted from the Walk‑In Clinic. County officials said the hospital district and insurance representatives will continue discussions to resolve billing and coverage questions before the next commission meeting.
