Mercer County commissioners approved a ledger of vouchers and bills totaling $280,207.47 and took a series of administrative votes at their Jan. 15 meeting.
The board first recessed at 10:05 a.m. and reconvened at 10:10 a.m. Among routine actions, Commissioner Mark Pierce moved to approve the listed bills except for an Interstate Engineering invoice of $31,583.10; Commissioner Jamee Folk seconded and the motion carried. The minutes list approved payments across multiple vendors, with a total of $280,207.47 recorded.
Recorder Shannan Senger presented a proposed scanner purchase; commissioners approved purchasing a large scanner ($15,303.56), a touchscreen monitor ($970.43) and a maintenance agreement ($1,120.06). Commissioner Folk also moved to approve a Bank of North Dakota loan request of $3,031.65 to pay a Bayview Heights professional services bill; that motion passed unanimously.
Auditor Carmen Reed told the commission her office went live on new financial software as of Jan. 1, 2025; the Treasurer and Tax Assessor were scheduled to transition in July. The board approved December Recorder fees of $4,565.40, rescheduled the Feb. 19 regular meeting to Feb. 20 due to a legislative conference, authorized County Road 20 testing west of Beulah for bridge replacement work, and approved journal entries moving $25,000 and $57,972.48 between line items.
