Commission authorizes Beaver Bay dock funding and approves 911 equipment contract

Zap Park Board member Delvin Zahn told the commission that North Dakota Game & Fish will cover 75% of a $58,648.00 replacement cost for the Beaver Bay boat dock and requested up to $15,000 from the county’s Parks In Lieu fund to cover the remaining 25%. Commissioner Casey Voigt moved to authorize up to $15,000 from the Parks In Lieu fund; Jamee Folk seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, Sheriff Terry Ternes reported a planned purchase of a 911 map printer with an upfront cost of $11,260.00 and a $42.50 monthly service charge plus overages. Commissioner Mark Pierce moved to approve the purchase and service contract; Jamee Folk seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The purchase was approved to be paid from 911 funds.
Both expenditures were approved as discrete agenda items and recorded in the June 18 minutes.
