Mercer County approves bank signatory change, sheriff revenues and $243,269.86 in vouchers; requests IT conversion audit

At its July 2 meeting Mercer County Commissioners approved several administrative and financial items.
On a motion by Commissioner Rick Bauman, seconded by Commissioner Casey Voigt, the board approved adding Deputy Treasurer Michelle Garrett to the County Union State Bank checking account. Commissioner Jamee Folk moved, and Commissioner Casey Voigt seconded, approval of the Sheriff’s reported revenues for December 2024 through May 2025 totaling $244,098.77; that motion carried with all commissioners present voting aye.
The board reviewed and approved vouchers and bills totaling $243,269.86 on a motion by Commissioner Jamee Folk, seconded by Commissioner Casey Voigt; the minutes list the vendor detail and the total amount. States Attorney Todd Schwarz requested that, once the county’s new Tyler Technologies software is in place, the county arrange a third-party conversion audit to ensure the new system is working correctly; no formal motion on the audit is recorded in the minutes.
HR/EM Director Alice Grinsteinner reported that public-official contact information on the county website omits addresses (only phone numbers are posted), and that vacation policy updates are in progress; first and second readings of personnel policy changes will be scheduled when the updates are complete.
The next regular meeting was set for July 16, 2025.
