Greulich said the Treasurer’s office is experiencing issues with Harris Financial Solutions and noted that Harris is used by only 13 Indiana counties, which he described as a concern for long‑term support and interoperability with the Auditor’s United Systems and Software. He presented two vendor options available in Indiana—Low Associates and X‑Soft—and provided user counts for each provider.
Greulich presented a written quote for Low Associates’ Window Financial Accounting Suite, listing a purchase price of $219,345 and an annual maintenance fee of $53,000. He contrasted that with the county’s current annual fees of about $6,800 for Harris and $4,960 for the Auditor’s United Systems and Software, and said the offices would continue researching options and costs should a change become necessary.
The council did not take formal action at the meeting; Greulich and Auditor Sandra L. Morton will continue to evaluate options and report back when a decision point is reached.
