Dubois County awards CCMG paving contract to C&R Construction for $1.13 million

The Dubois County Commissioners approved awarding the CCMG 2026-01 paving contract to C&R Construction for $1,128,020.75 following a public bid opening and a recommendation from County Engineer Levi Leffert.
At the advertised 9:00 a.m. bid opening, the county publicly read bids from CalCar Paving ($1,144,891.30), JH Rudolph ($1,141,348.00), C&R Construction ($1,128,020.75) and E&B Paving ($1,218,775.00). Leffert recommended accepting the lowest bidder, C&R Construction, and the commissioners voted to approve the recommendation unanimously.
Leffert also updated the board on bridge and culvert work connected to county road projects, including Bridge 78 (CR 600 W over the Patoka River), for which project plans and a project manual are complete; Leffert said the bridge closure is anticipated to begin in late spring or early summer and last approximately 60 days.
Commissioners recorded the award and instructed staff to proceed with contracting and project scheduling subject to bid and procurement procedures.
