Fulton County commissioners approve minutes, payables and several personnel and board actions

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved routine business, personnel actions and several administrative items during its Dec. 16 meeting.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting Minutes and the Dec. 9, 2025 Retirement Board Minutes; both motions passed unanimously. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16 totaling $281,921.91; the motion carried. The minutes list a fund breakdown including $214,588.09 in the General Fund, $20,705.31 in the 911 fund and $46,105.21 in Opioid Settlement Funds.
During a department update, Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress appeared before the board. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025; the board approved the dismissal. Hann also moved to advertise for an "Enforcement Officer 1" position in the Domestic Relations Department, to be advertised both internally and externally; the board agreed.
The board retroactively approved renewal of a Momentive Software, Inc. subscription for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48 after a motion by Commissioner Wible. Commissioners also approved and executed a Sheriff's Department request for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
For board appointments, Commissioner Bunch moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term to Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The board also approved advertising the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates in the Fulton County Newspaper.
The minutes show the board entered brief executive sessions for personnel matters at 9:36–9:38 a.m. and again at 10:52–11:30 a.m. A DCED financial monitoring interview listed on the agenda for 11:30 a.m. was canceled by DCED, which requested to meet instead with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to adjourn at 11:45 a.m.; the motion was approved.
