At its Oct. 24 meeting the Calhoun County Commission authorized several administrative contracts, including an employment contract for Julie Borelli to serve as County Attorney and agreements for county operations.
County Administrator Jonathan Gaddy presented the employment contract for Julie Borelli; Commissioner Patterson moved and Commissioner Shears seconded authorization for the chairman to sign, and the motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Gaddy also presented a one-year agreement with GoFormz, Inc., for digital form services used by the coroner’s office, totaling $864, effective Oct. 28, 2024 through Oct. 27, 2025. Commissioner Wilson moved to authorize the chairman to sign the agreement and Commissioner Shears seconded; the commission approved it unanimously.
Separately, the commission authorized a Memorandum of Agreement extending jail nutrition services with Stacey Johnson, RD, LD, at $650 per month through Nov. 10, 2025; the motion to authorize the chairman to sign carried unanimously.
Why it matters: These personnel and administrative decisions enable county legal representation and day-to-day operations in the coroner’s office and jail services.
What’s next: Contracts and MOUs are on file with the county clerk; implementation will be handled by the relevant county departments.
