The council appointed Monica Antes, Deb Ferrell, Terry Hindman and Tesha Wyatt to the Parks Commission after Mayor Sarah Kile recommended them; the motion to approve the appointments was made by Council Member Gutierrez and supported by Council Member Platt. The council also approved routine business: minutes from April 7, 2025 (motion by Council Member Esiline, supported by Council Member Caffrey), warrants dated April 8–21, 2025 totaling $51,323.16 and payroll through April 16, 2025 for $35,585.51 (motion by Council Member Darlington, supported by Council Member Gutierrez), the agenda, and the consent agenda.
The council voted to reschedule the FY25–26 budget workshop for April 28, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. (motion by Council Member Darlington, supported by Council Member Crawford). Council also approved a motion to enter closed session at 6:25 p.m. for bargaining strategy and negotiations with the Operating Engineers; the council recessed for a closed session and returned to open session at 7:10 p.m.
No council member proposed changes to the motions during final votes. The meeting adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
