WOSC regents enter executive session, return with no action and approve personnel matters
Summary
On Aug. 5 the Board of Regents entered executive session under the Open Meeting Act and returned to open session with no action taken; subsequently the board approved employments and promotions listed on the agenda, and the chair distributed Ethics and Conflict of Interest certificates.
The Western Oklahoma State College Board of Regents moved into executive session at 5:54 p.m. on Aug. 5 pursuant to 307(B)(1) of the Open Meeting Act. Regent Dr. Dana Darby moved to enter executive session and Regent Debbie Cox seconded; the motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
The board returned to open session at 6:23 p.m.; Regent Darby moved and Regent Justin Lewis seconded the motion to return, and the minutes state that no action was taken during executive session.
Immediately after returning to open session, the board considered Personnel Matters. Regent D’Lese Travis moved and Regent Dr. Dustin Lively seconded approval of employments and promotions under the personnel item listed in the agenda packet (A i:1‑3 & A ii:1). The board recorded unanimous votes in favor of the personnel actions.
Chair Robert Williams requested the minutes reflect that each board member present received the college’s Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy and a Conflict of Interest Certificate, and he asked members to review and return the signed certificate to Ms. Amy Cobb.
