- Tax settlement report: Finance staff presented the settlement; Commissioner Carol V. Phelps moved approval and the board voted unanimously.
- Late disabled-veteran exemption: Under N.C. Gen. Stat. 105-282.1(a1) the board approved a late exemption application for James Anthony Respass after staff reported the veteran’s certification was finalized July 26, 2023 and the application was submitted July 28, 2023.
- Jury commission reappointment: The board reappointed Syble Spruill to the Washington County Jury Commission (approved unanimously).
- Budget transfers and amendments: The board approved transfers and amendments as presented by Finance Officer Missy Dixon.
- NCACC voting delegate: Commissioner Carol V. Phelps was designated as the county's voting delegate at the NCACC conference.
All motions listed above were recorded as unanimous. The board's consent approval included two ARP resolutions that together total $6,442,200 in asset-inventory grant funding listed in the agenda packet.
