Public-works update: culinary-water generator delayed; fire department reports record call volume

Burke Udy, who oversees culinary water, said the town's new generator is currently located in Texas but the concrete pad at the installation site is not yet ready. Udy said crews will install the generator this week if weather permits; otherwise, the project will be completed in spring.
TJ Nielsen of the fire department reported the department had handled 113 emergency calls year-to-date, including 18 fire calls and 95 medical calls, and said the town is on pace to break its annual record. Nielsen added that about one-third of the calls were trauma-related.
Council thanked staff for their work and asked them to continue coordination on the generator installation and emergency-response planning.
